What Do We Do?
House Concerts
We hold a concert every one to three months at Bruce Victor’s home in Larkspur. The performers have ranged from the internationally famous to those making their debut in front of audiences. The age range of the performers is currently 16 to 67, but we are hoping to expand it. While the music at these concerts has leaned heavily in favor of acoustic guitars, we have made it a point to include music (and musicians) from other cultures. To date this has included koras—a traditional Irish accordion—and keyboard music that graced the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. Please note that this range of cultural offerings is something we are planning to continue and expand.
If you are not already on the Acoustic Vortex mailing list
Because these concerts are held in a private home, it is necessary to e-mail Bruce Victor at bruce@acousticvortex.com to request an invitation and to RSVP.

Stevie Coyle has been teaching guitar both in individual and workshop formats for many years. He is proficient in a variety of different acoustic guitar styles and tunings. He is a master finger-style guitarist who takes particular delight in teaching students who have had previous learning experiences that were less than satisfying. Stevie can be reached through his own Web site, stevie@steviecoyle.com, or here at stevie@acousticvortex.com.
Walter Strauss is an accomplished guitarist who has collaborated with many other musicians both in the Bay Area and beyond. Walter can be reached through his own Web site, walter@walterstrauss.com.
